KRAGOS KRAGOS Compliance

Compliance, organised around one set of evidence.

Five regimes ask for the same facts in different shapes. We consult across all five and run the software that keeps the evidence in one place, so you are ready before the verifier, the SETA, the Department or the tender asks.

B-BBEE scorecard estimate

Set how much of each element you expect to achieve. The estimate uses the weightings of the amended Codes (2019) and drops a level if a priority element falls below its sub-minimum.

Estimate only. Not a B-BBEE certificate, sworn affidavit or verification. Your level is set by a SANAS-accredited verification agency, or by sworn affidavit for qualifying EMEs and QSEs. Bonus points are left out and sub-minimums are simplified.

Turnover of R10m or less? You are an EME and use a sworn affidavit. No scorecard needed.

Can you bid?

Fourteen questions on the documents South African public tenders usually ask for. Your result updates as you answer.

Runs in your browser. Nothing is sent or stored. It cannot tell you whether a bid will succeed, and it is not tax or legal advice. Procurement still runs under the PPPFA and the Preferential Procurement Regulations 2022.

  1. Is your company registered with CIPC (or are you bidding as a sole proprietor), and are its annual returns up to date?
  2. Are you registered on the Central Supplier Database with a supplier number?
  3. Does your CSD profile show banking, tax and directors verified, with nothing outstanding?
  4. Can you get a current SARS Tax Compliance Status PIN showing good standing?
  5. Do your name, registration number, directors and bank account match across CIPC, CSD, SARS and your B-BBEE document?
  6. Do you have B-BBEE evidence that fits your size: a sworn affidavit, or a certificate from a SANAS-accredited agency?
  7. Was it issued or commissioned in the last 12 months, on your latest financial year?
  8. Do you know if the tender uses 80/20 (up to R50m) or 90/10 (above R50m), and which specific goals it scores?
  9. Can you complete and sign SBD 1, the SBD 3 pricing schedule, SBD 4 and SBD 6.1 (or the municipal MBD forms)?
  10. Can you declare that no director is employed by the state and that you are not on the restricted suppliers or tender defaulters lists?
  11. If you employ staff, can you download a current COIDA Letter of Good Standing?
  12. If you employ staff, are you registered with UIF and declaring monthly on uFiling?
  13. Can you obtain a section 53 EE compliance certificate, and if you are designated, is your latest EE report in?
  14. For construction, security or regulated work, do you hold the registration and grade the tender asks for (CIDB, PSIRA, NHBRC)?

Platforms

Four connected products, built around evidence integrity

The B-BBEE scorecard platform is live for self-serve use; the other three are available on request with a demo. Each keeps where every figure came from.

01

B-BBEE scorecard platform

Live · makty.kragos.app

Capture evidence once, calculate the scorecard and keep the source of every figure. Computes the Generic and QSE codes (amended 2019), EME, the YES enhancement, and the Construction and ICT sector codes. Flags when another sector code may apply rather than guessing.

02

EE platform

On request · demo

Workforce profile to EE plan to annual report in one chain: designation test, sector selection across the 18 sectors, EEA12 analysis, EEA13 plan with the section 20 checks, numerical targets against EAP with the 3% disability goal, and the content for the EEA2 and EEA4. Document output is not built yet.

Learnership and youth-spend tracker

On request · demo on synthetic data

Tracks each learnership from registration to completion across lead employer, provider and oversight, flags possible duplicate registrations, and keeps skills and YES spend evidence together.

04

Emissions evidence ledger

On request · demo on synthetic data

Append-only entries: every activity record keeps its source, method and emission factor, and a correction never overwrites history. Built first for fleet activity, with monthly emissions reports.

Used by
Fleet operators, NGER data providers, suppliers asked for emissions data

Consulting

Five services, and the platform behind each

Learnership integrity

23 554

learners were recorded in more than one SETA in 2022-23.

That is the Auditor-General's figure, in its PFMA audit outcomes tabled on 29 November 2023. Learnership spend is only as good as the evidence that each learner is real, enrolled once, attending and paid.

How we work

We prepare. Independent bodies decide.

  1. 1

    Enquiry

WhatsApp, email or call. Tell us your size, sector and the deadline in front of you.

  2. 2

    Consult

A scoping conversation. We tell you which regimes apply and what evidence you already hold.

  3. 3

    Engagement

A written scope and quote. You contract with KRAGOS Compliance; specialist delivery partners join where needed.

  4. 4

    Verification

For B-BBEE you appoint a SANAS-accredited verification agency of your choice. We work alongside them and you.

Boundaries we publish

What we do: consult, and provide products that automate compliance.

What we don't do: verify or certify B-BBEE (SANAS-accredited agencies do), issue certificates, give tax advice, or deal in carbon credits or offsets.
